Warranty repair on jailbroken iphone 3gs
I bought a 3Gs off of criagslist and it was jailbroken with 3.1.2. It recently locked up and now only works for a short period of time then locks up and the screen tints blue. I tried restoring it with a customer firmware 3.1.3 but it locked up in the process so now it basically has no OS it just comes up with the connect to iTunes screen except it says weiphone.com at the bottom with chinese characters.
Since it locks up even when trying to restore firmware I am assuming this is a hardware problem. My warranty is still good. Is apple going to replace the phone for me if it comes up with an obviously jailbroken screen?
Thanks!My toys:
IPhone 4 16gb
IPad 16gb
White MacBook
Yamaha R6
BMW M3

What I would do is just restoring with 3.1.3 again. If it doesn't work, take it to apple, what can they do worse to it? Void your warrenty on a phone that doesn't work?
