iPhone 3Gs in Emergency Mode

Hi.

I recently used spirit over blackra1n and got into recovery mode. Was using 3.1.2 and by mistake updated to 3.1.3 which unfortunately upgraded my bootrom to 05.12.01 but I still have my 3.1.2 SHSH. Any luck with that ???

I want to jailbreak my iphone and use it atleast as an ipod since the unlock for new bootrom is not yet released. when I jailbroke using blackra1n it went fine but still its in the emergency mode.

How could I use it as an ipod to listen songs, play games etc. Greatly appreciated and thanks in advance

What version are you at now? If you have your 3.1.2 SHSH, you should restore to a fresh 3.1.2 and when you get stuck on the recovery screen after the restore, run blackra1n to boot the phone. That'll hactivate it which means you can use it as an ipod.

If you have a sim card for the official carrier, you can also just plug that in and let iTunes activate the device. This will also let you use it as an ipod.
