Help synching ipad and iphone on same PC
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if i can get some help with a little problem im running into. I have an iPAD and iPhone im trying to synch with itunes. However, i do not want my itunes apps for the iphone synching to my ipad and vs versa. i had to reload windows and now itunes is saying that my ipad is asociated with another library. If i synch it, will it erase my installed apps? I told it to transfer purchases from my ipad to the itunes library, but then i got nervous and unplugged it before it completed the backup. (was just worried it would remove my saved data).
Long story short. How the hell do i synch more then one device to itunes without having to constantly uncheck apps i want synched on one device and not the other. Im to the point im about to create another profile on my laptop and use that when i want to synch my ipad, so i dont have to worry about overwriting/removing/ reconfiguring itunes whenever i synch one device or another. Any help?

Go ahead and sync as you can have 5 devices authorized your itunes, aks 3giphonejohn 3gsmary 2gluke, 3gipadjohn 3gipadtom
Furnish your own names though and each one different!
On the left hand side of itunes it should show like 3gjohn, you can click on that and have the option to change the name!

found out
Well, what i was really looking for was how to create more then 1 Itunes library.
I found it though. From what i read this isnt something thats generaly known by most users.
if you launch itunes while holding down the shift key (alt on macs), You get prompted as to create a new library or use an existing one. This was you can have independent files between devices... So glad i found this. Makes life alot easier for me.

Doesn't work like that on Windows 7... just launches normally.

I tried it on my windows 7 Ulti box and it worked.. click the icon, then hold shift and exacute. Still nothing?.. Try launching it directly from the exacutable and see.
