Will Apple change the 30-PIN dock connector or mechanism on the next generation iPhone?

I am wondering because I want to make sure it's safe to order some accessories in advanced.

Not even really a possibility. It would be absolute suicide for them [Apple] to essentially destroy the ENTIRE 3rd party accessory market they've built up around the iDevice line.

they will at some point in the future, they signed onto something with a bunch of other companies to support mini usb, you know seeing evey cell phon on the planet has a diffrent charger and its kinda bad for the enviroment. but for this year or this phone i highly doubt it
