If you read the dev notes, it's only compatible for restore on Mac systems currently.
Would not work on my Win7 system (error 13), had to do restore from my friends Mac and it worked just fine.

same here, paid my $10 and sent my UDID only to find out it only works under OSX at the moment, now should I fire up my old mac mini or is it really worth the effort given that no apps actually support multi tasking yet and none will until OS 4.0 is finally released most of the functionality will not be proplerly availabe till nearer the release date

Do you think we are going to see an itunes update to allow us to update through windows?
Or is this update going to be locked to macs only?

There was never a bug. The error 13 (unlucky) is because your running Windows. In a quite a few past beta's they started for the MAC, then a week later or few days they oferred one that supported Windows.
Its basically their way to thank MAC users by giving them the first chance to upgrade.
Then comes the Windows fraternity.

If you run vmware workstation in windows and run leopard as the virtual os you can upgrade to 4.0 just finished doing it worked like a charm. If anyone needs help pm me or email me at [email protected]. I just spent like 3 hours figuring it all out. No error 13 for this pc user.
Multitasking is amazing on 4.0

Why don't you post the process. Mine hangs on starting the upgrade. Or is it meant to take more than 30 minutes?
