    Default International data roaming

    Hi,
I have an iphone 3gs on optus pospaid. I will be travelling overseas to Japan in a weeks time. I have data roaming set as off in the settings menu. Does this mean when I go to Japan I will only be able to check emails, surf net etc if I am connected via wifi? Does it totally disable internationa data roaming on all things?
What about this push function on mail that can be turned on and off?
I only want to use my iphone for making calls and sms overseas, and not rack up a large bill on international data roaming charges.

Turn on Data roaming when you want to browse the web, check email ect. and you dont have service, otherwise keep it off, as for push, all preferences are in settings/notifications.

If you wanna thank me hit "Thanks" in the lower right of my post. If you think that I am a useless git feel free to say so.
