ok i just searched thru all my apps and want to delete
I was wondering, if i were to SSH into private/var/mobile/applications and delete every single thing in here, then resync with itunes to reinstall it all,(im having an issue in another thread but this will help me solve it I think) will it cause any issues or just wipe off all my programs (which is what I want to do and start again)
I literally opened up every folder in this application folder to see if there was more inside then what I installed and there wasnt.. The stock apps are NOT in here so instead of deleting everything I have installed manually I wanted to wipe em all out with SSH. Seems i have 2 copies of every app which is taking up ALOT of space lol

Ya that is a VERY BAD idea that will earn you a nice restore. use itunes to delete them easier, or if there from cydia use the queing feature

.....Which is exactly why you DO NOT erase files in /var/mobile/applications........ or have you already?

couldn't the settings built in wipe feature help, i am pretty sure it does not require itunes.
(settings.app>General Settings>Restore>Wipe all data)
