Default How unlucky was this (need help cleaning iphone)
    Ugghhh, I'm so (lol):

My dog decides to pee all on the carpet while I'm checking my email on my iphone. I rushed to stop him, and my phone slips and falls (the touch screen side) right into the piss spot. So I pick it up, no signs of water damage, and everything works fine, BUT... now I have a phone that has piss all the front screen (from top to bottom).

I don't want to put my face or mouth on a phone with dog pee lol, so my question is, what is the best way to clean my phone, or take a look below to see if this was a good method.

    This is what I did:

The phone has a zagg protector on the front, so I took it to the bathroom, grabbed a moderately wet towel, and wiped the front screen completely (except the small receiver at the top), and repeated the process 2 times. The I took I backup toothbrush, licked it (barely damp), and scrubbed the receiver part.

I have OCD (lol), so I'm thinking to completely solve the problem I can take a disinfect wipe, and wipe the screen again, and then take another to get my toothbrush moderately damp, and scrub the receiver.

    Anyone? Its driving me crazy

Do you realize all the other nasty stuff is on your touchscreen phone? The only reason the pee bothers you is because you saw it happen, but believe me, there's probably a lot of invisible nasties on your phone all the time anyway. Just lick it clean, it will all be fine

Thanks for the advice. Yea I think all I need to do is use a old toothbrush, put a very little amount of Lysol where the brush isn't dripping wet, and scrub the receiver, and I should be good to good. I'm also gonna wipe the zagg screen one more time with a light amount of lysol.

I would have pulled the screen protector (I'm assuming that's what that zagg thing is), used a LCD screen cleaner wipe on the whole phone, and put on a new screen protector. Done.

Upon google search, I now recall the seeing the zagg thing at best buy. Extremely expensive. Can they be reapplied or are they one-time use? If one time use, I would just use the LCD screen cleaning wipe on the whole phone without removing the screen protector.

Is there a proper way to clean the receiver, or is it best to damp a small amount of Lysol on a toothbrush and scrub it?

I wouldn't use anything wet to clean it. Just maybe brush the hole with a dry q-tip
