new to iphone

I'm new to iPhone, I've recently bought an unlocked jailbroken iphone, i was wondering when I sync the phone to itunes on my mac will it erase everything on my phone( apps, contacts,etc) or just any music or pics that are already on there????

if your itunes account is authorised with your account then everything will sync and merge info (just maks usre you select merge info)
