Default Restoring 3gs from backup of 3g?
    Hey guys

    I recently traded my unlocked/Jb 3g on 3.0 for a locked 3gs on 3.1.3

Question #1 - Your opinion: was this a dumb trade or not?

Question #2 - Would it be even more dumb to restore my new 3gs from the backup of my 3g? (havent tried just checking )

    Thanks for the info

Let see 3g firmware is not the same as the 3gs firmware.
You will be able to install your contacts, email accts, music, photos to it.
I hope you don't need the phone to be unlocked!

Thanks guys and yes, sadly I do need an unlock to T-Mo but for getting a 2 week old 3gs, it will be worth the wait till 4.0 is released.

And just confirming, restoring the 3g backup will actually work?

Or is just Set up as new phone recommended/preferred?

Coming from a jailbroken restore to a factory install it is best to setup as new.
