Default "Other" files on iPhone are 15.04GB HELP!
My iPhone started acting a little weird today and was closing out when I was trying to text and stuff like that, and then I tried restarting a couple times and it was still doing it. I thought maybe it would go away but I tried to take a picture and then I got a message saying I was out of space and needed to delete files in order to be able to take pictures again.

I didn't understand this because I only have about 9GB worth of music, 508MB of photos, and 1.33GB worth of Apps. Then the "Other" files are a different story, with a whopping 15.04GB of data! WTF is that? There is no way that I have that much of other files on my iPhone.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I need to figure out how to clear all that other data out of there so I can make it available again to use.

    Thanks!

ssh to var/mobile/library/RYP/logs then delete the log and update rock.

do you know how to ssh? do you have ifile?

RYP was creating a log thousands of times a minute because of a corrupt repo thus taking up about a mb per second. this will delete the log that has taken all your space, and updating rock with stop it from doing it again

Ok, just did it and the data appears to still be there after I have updated Rock. What should I do next. those logs that I deleted were only a few MB's.

When this happened to me I ended up having to reset my entire phone. Wasn't pleased. Wish I researched first. FAIL.
