i have an iPhone 2g i reset it and now it just has a black screen now i wan to restore it but i can restore it without upgrading it to the 3.1.3 firmware my iphone is not jail broken ...........is there anyway i could restore my iphone without updating it????? really in need of help I'm really confused

Sure, just download the firmware version you want, hold shift and click restore and point to the firmware.

Ha ha, so I'm not the only one? First time I clicked on the lock, it sent me to his blog where I clicked on the link, which sent me back to the download page. So I clicked on geohots' face, back to blog, clicked on
link, back to download page again. Then I figured it out. I'm sharp as a tack, I tell ya

ok i got it downloaded but still my phone is telling my my sim card is not caompatible n it wont move from the insert to itunes screen ........ what do i do now n really guys thanks for all the help

So do u have a blackra1n app on ur homescreen. Open it and install blacksm0w for unlock and cydia for jailbreak
