i cant open it on my phone cause all my phone screen has is insert to itunes ........... but when i do that itunes is telling me my sim card is not compatible hhhhhelp lol

BTW - If it's a 2G iPhone, there's no problem with restoring to 3.1.3.
Restore to 3.1.3, run redsn0w, and when redsn0w asks for a .ipsw file, give it a 3.1.2 file.

That'll get you off the "slide for emergency"/connect to itunes screen & jailbreak/unlock your phone.

Don't bother with blackra1n if you need hacktivation. Geohot's hacktivation is messed up.

Restore to 3.1.3
and run redsn0w.
Follow the onscreen directions.
When it asks for a .ipsw file, give it a 3.1.2 file which can be downloaded here: Apple, iPhone & iPad Forums, Mods, Guides, News, Themes, Downloads, and more! | ModMyi.com - Downloads - iPhone 2G 3.1.2
Tell redsn0w to unlock for you.

You should be good to go.

but the thing is when i put my phone into the pc n itunes comes up it tells me my sim is not supported how can i restore it to 3.1.3?

What firmware are you on now?

One way to restore is to put it in DFU mode.
