Default ssh and root password questions?
Hi all, I have been reading about using a SSH and changing your root password on jailbroken iphones, an I have a few questions about it.

Is your Iphone only susceptible to a root password hack/worm if you are running a ssh, or is it just a good idea to change the root password no matter what?

Also are there any inherit risk to changing th root password as far as functionality with apples apps or store, or anything I should know about?

Plus is there a way to disable OpenSSH from running all the time after you install it?

Whats the best SSH to use on the phone, is it Openssh or are there better ones out there?

    Thanks for your help.

I did a search before I made this post with the keyword ssh an got no results. I thought it was odd, maybe I am using the search wrong?

with SBSettings you can toggle ssh on or off. openssh is great. changing the root password is a good idea and shouldnt affect anything else

Thanks I already have SBSettings installed and noticed it gave me the option to toggle it on/off after I installed OpenSSH. Also Rock prompts you to automatically change your root/mobile password for you as soon as you install openssh and restart your phone and open Rock. So I did it that way then used mobile terminal to make sure it took, worked like a charm.

I am looking around at the files, found the photos and was able to transfer those. Now I am looking around to see how I back up my jailbreak apps through ssh. Even though I see Rock stores them on their sever, there are a few I have from cydia I would like to back up.
