HELP, iPhone not working

I recently booted up my iPhone 3G, 3.1.2 and jailbroken, to find that it does something odd. It loads the Apple screen for a couple of minutes, then goes to the wheel that appears for respringing.

What could be causing this?

ur stuck in a boot loop
ur gonna have to restore.

then use blackra1n to jailbreak and blacksn0w to unlock if needed

but whaat causes this is if u have a lot of apps

Thanks for the quick answer. I'm guessing that this means I'll lose all my jailbreak apps, right?

Also, will it automatically put me on 3.1.3, and will I still be able to unlock?

ur gonna lose all of them
no if u when u download the firmware i gave u the link to, save it in ur desktop
then put ur phone in dfu and then click and hold SHIFT on ur computer and then press restore. navigate to desktop to find the the firmware and double click it.
thatll restore u to 3.1.2 then go to blackweather and download blackra1n run it and then ull get a blackra1n icon on ur homescreen open it and instal cydia(for jailbreak) and blacksn0w(for unlock) and u could also install rock if u want

And then I can restore my apps and music that iTunes backed up?

but when u restore itll say restore from backup or setup as new phone
set it up as a new phone then l8r resync with itunes
