Default Going for my 3GS replacement

    Hi guys.
I'll keep this post nice and short.
My iPhone 3GS 32GB needs replacing. The mic broke and now I cannot make calls without using the headphone's mic. It's strange though, it was working this morning, I received a phone call and the person on the other end could hear me just fine. After like two hours I got another call, but the person couldnt hear me. So I opened up the 'Voice Memo' app to see if the mic works.. And no, it doesnt. Only the headphone's mic works, but that is just too inconvinient for me.

So I decided to go to my nearest Apple Store on train (which is like over 40 miles from where I live, wish they had one near Leeds/Bradford, UK ), and get it exchanged (still has warranty). I've already booked an appointment for tomorrow at 3pm. Is there anything I should/shouldnt do, once there?

I will restore the phone tomorrow, so that all the jailbreak data is gone. Do you think I could request them to give me an iPhone with 3.1.2 or lower on it & one which has the old iBoot version (by checking the serial number, 4th and 5th digit)? My current one has the old iBoot version, meaning it's untethered + it's running iPhone OS 3.1.3 jailbroken & unlocked using sn0wbreeze. But that's no use for me now, since it's faulty now. :/

Do you think it's a good idea to request that, when they replace it? Or will that make it obvious to Mr. Genius and just reject my request/replacement as a whole?

    Any thoughts about this?

Ok, went and got it swapped. Got an iPhone made in week 6 of this year --> new bootrom. Stuck on 3.1.3, with no way of downgrading..
