Just purchased my first iphone. 3G, 3.1.2, unlocked, jailbroken. FInally overcame issues with not being able to get it to charge only to be greeted by the next issue.

I have itunes 9 (haven't updated to 9.0.3 as updates now scare me). Have only used it for music at this point. So I open itunes and connect my iphone to USB and nothing happens. Have connected and re-booted my machine with the same result.

Just wondering if I'm missing something to make that first time connection and have it recognize my phone.
