3GS Mysteriously Crashed and Mysteriously Came Back To Life

Well something really odd happened tonight. I had just downloaded a craigslist app and while using the app, it froze. It wasn't doing anything at all, so I hit the home button to get out of it- and the entire phone crashed. It went to black and started to reboot and then just hung there at the apple logo. I did a force restart kinda thing (holding the sleep & home button) but it still just hung there at the start up screen. I plugged into my computer and hoped maybe itunes would recognize it, but no, it did not. Finally after maybe 10 minutes, the phone started up and came back to life.

Now I'm really baffled. I have no idea what happened, or why the crashing of that app caused the entire phone to crash. I have even less idea what caused the phone to suddenly come back to life or what it was doing while it was out, etc.

Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this? I'm worried it'll happen again, or that I maybe did something I shouldn't have. I can't imagine what though, all I did was try to close an app that was frozen and non-responsive.

Anyone experience something like this before?

Sounds like something caused a problem with MobileWatchdog.bundle which will reboot your phone every 2 minutes if it can't register all your software properly. If it doesn't work or is missing then the phone will reboot after 10 minutes and it will reload.
Only start worrying if it happens again, as a one off it's not a problem.
