I tried putting my last phone in DFU mode to restore it, but every time I would do so - it would not restore, it would fail or the phone would go to it's lockscreen randomly while "preparing to restore iPhone". But when I put the phone in recovery mode, where it shows the iTunes cable on the phone, it'll restore no problem. Am I doing something wrong? I'm holding the home/power button for 10 seconds then releasing the power button while holding the home button until iTunes recognizes it, which is no longer than 10 seconds longer, and it says that it found my phone in recovery mode while my phone is completely black. Anybody have an idea?
