iphone death

I need help with my iphone (again) if anybody would help me out.

earlier today i pulled my phone out my pocked and it was frozen at the slide to unlock screen...i turned it off and when i turn it on, it sits at the apple screen and never load up.it will show the progress bar the reset itself back to the apple screen.

Ive put it in recovery mode and hooked it up to itunes and its downloading the new update right now, but im not going to do anything until i get some answers first on what to do.i jailbroke my iphone using blackra1n around the time of its release.
so can anyone tell me what happened or what to do so i dont loose all my numbers...(silly me i didnt save them to my comp) if i have to loose everything i will.i just want my phone back. i tried using blackra1n again but nothing happened..

If you have upgraded to 3.1.3 i dont think blackra1n will jailbreak it

Chances are it's screwed unless you can get it to boot, if the case you can restore with 3.1.2 using Saurik's servers, or, make a new IPSW from Pwnage.

The original blackra1n was a bit dodge, so it may have taken this chance to have a dump...

Maybe other people will have other ideas though!

You have a 3G! All you need to do is put your phone into recovery mode/DFU mode and Shift+Restore and select 3.1.2

thanks for the info. yea i did that last night after i posted it but i upgraded to 3.1.3 like a douche. im going to read up on this latest jailbreak software tho to see if i can jailbreak it again.

ok so instead of making another thread i just figure ill post it in this on and see if people could figure this one out.
im sure this has been addressed recently but i couldnt find anything but im on 3.1.3 now on my 3g and when i ran snowbreeze nothing happened, no cydia nothing....i did it again multiple times and restored using the custom firmware it made but not jailbreak...i do have att so im not trying to unlock it just jailbreak it so i can have cydia. any help would be appreciated. thanks
