    Default error 9 / 1600 solution?

    Hi

I have an 3GS with 3.1.2 FW and baseband 5.xxxxx.

Bought it from a guy, he sold it (cheap, very cheap) because it was rebooting all the time.
I thought I'd be able to fix it, since I've been unlocking and hacking since the 2G time. But no.

Tried to restore with custom and apple ispw's, but when in restoremode i get error 9, in DFU mode I get error 1600.
Followed every d*mn guide on the internet, read every d*mn forum, but no answers.. only guesses. Some people managed to restore it after 30-50 tries, some people changed computers, and they got their phone working.
Can't warranty repair it, because the phone is bought in US and I'm in Sweden.

You guys that have time to hang around in forums all day long, have you seen any solutions around (except warranty repair)? Any solutions for us unlucky bastards?

Well, I know that a phone has to be previously jailbroken if you're trying to use a custom firmware on a Windows comp. Not sure about macs.

I can't say for error 9, but error 160x can be because of what I just stated.

Another problem you have now is that Apple isn't signing the 3.1.2 firmware anymore so the only way to restore to that version is if you have the shsh files either on Cydia or on your own comp.
