Need help with iphone 2g

Hi,

My iphone 2g has a digitizer problem I have ordered a full set of LCD screen. While opening i broke the power switch ribbon cable (which I have already ordered as well) which is in the back cover. And the battery wires also got disconnected as the connection was very loose. I gave to a professional technician for soldering. Than I connected the ac wall charger to switch it on as the switch was broken and had no option.. It switched on but there was no sound from the speaker and it was not charging. There was no charging symbol in the battery icon as well but home button was working just fine.. Than I left it. When I checked it later it had already switched off on its on.. Than when I connected the charger it didn't switch on at all..

Today I tried using a voltage meter to see if the battery has power but unfortunately it doesn't have.. I connected the charger and than tried again with the voltage meter and got to know that charging power does not reach the battery.. So the thing I want to ask is that can this problem be because of the DIY ribbon cable located in the mid frame?

You posted this question in the Hardware section already. Yes, you have a flex cable issue. It is not called a DYI Ribbon cable. DYI stands for Do It Yourself

Melech518, Thanks for your reply. Actually I also thought it might be the flex cable but was not sure. So asked in this forum to confirm. I will order a new flex cable and try.. Oh sorry I didn't know I read somewhere about DIY flex cable so I thought that might be the name of the cable.. I am a bit new to this iphone repairing stuff that's why.. But thanks for your support really appreciate it...
