Lightbulb The dumb question no one can answer

    Alright noobz,
I've scoured the interwebz, and I can't seem to remember how I used to drag and drop new music onto my iPhone without losing what's already there or having to resync for-ev-er.

I know, it sounds stupid right?

I've dragged and dropped new songs to my iPhone from my PC before, I can't seem to remember how I did it...

    Anyone know?..
    I'll give you a cookie.

    Using:
    XP
    Jailbroken iPhone 3.1.2
    iTunes 9.0.2.25

If you drag the new songs onto an existing playlist already sync'ed it will add just the new music.

Yea I read about that way.. But wouldn't that make the songs a pain in the butt to find?

I really want to figure out how I dragged and dropped..
I remember downloading the torrents, finding some album covers, then somehow I was able to drag and drop the new albums right onto my iPhone.

I thought it was done by selecting the Manually manage music & videos box but, as soon as I click the box it now displays a message box saying that all the current music on it will be removed.

Blahhhhh... Surely someone knows what I'm talking about..

Did you check the "Manually manage music and video" button?

It's the same computer.. but it no longer has the older large collection of music that is on the iPhone.

My PC only has the new music that I want to drag & drop onto the iPhone.

SimTech, When I check the "Manually manage music and video" it pulls up a box that says all music currently on the iphone will be removed & I don't want that. I don't remember it doing that in the past..

I'd like to keep the old stuff currently on the iphone. I also want to drop the new music on my pc onto the iphone.

    I know it's possible...

just add the new music to the checked folders in sync/music and it will be there, or just create a new playlist in itunes lets say call it new music drag the songs u want in there go into sync iphone/music and look for the new music folder u created check that one and sync. that should do the trick and u have that folder in ur iphone too and it wont be difficult to find it cause u just tab on the new music folder
note u should have ur old music still in itunes if u dont wanna loose it though otherwise ur only way is to go through all ur music on ur iphone and write them down and get them again lol

Just use a program like sharepod to get all the music off of your phone to your computer. After everything is on the computer you can drag and drop till your eyes bleed.
