Holy crappy battery life after upgrade.
I had my 3GS on 3.0 because I didn't want to upgrade. It was jailbroken and unlocked but on at&t.
After I had problems with voicemail and messaging I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to 3.1.2 then jailbroke and unlocked with blackra1n.
I set the iPhone as a NEW iPhone. Installed winterboard and some other stuff.
My battery life is ridiculously low now. Where before I hardly needed to charge my phone during the day no it will last maybe half a day.
I woke up today at 8:30. The phone was fully charged. It is now 2:30pm and I have less than 25% battery left. I made 1 phone call. Browsed the Internet via Wifi and very little via 3G. Sent maybe 10-15 txt messages and watched an 8 minute youtube video.
Is there a fix for this because I can't find anything on my searches on google.

Had a similar issue. For me, the only way it was fixed was to let my iPhone drain the battery until it wouldn't turn on anymore (it was showing the "plug in" screen). Then, once I plugged it into the wall to charge, it booted up and magically had 70% battery life left. I left it charge up and since then it's had great battery life.
Give it a try, let us know how it works.

I'm going to try that today.
OK. Done it. Let it drain completely then recharged. It will still loose about 1% of battery every minute or so if I just browse the interenet over wifi. I used it for 10 minutes and it lost about 10%. I then left it in standby over night and in the morning it was under 70%.
That's pretty crappy.
Used the phone for 10 minutes. Sent maybe 10 txt messages and went on facebook for 2 minutes. Battery went from 68% to 49%.
It's officially ****.Last edited by zoti; 02-01-2010 at 07:16 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

OK. It got to 41% and then got stuck there. Then I lost connection with the network. I've rebooted the phone and the battery was at 73% all of a sudden.
Maybe it's fixed?

Sounds like what happened to me, it just suddenly had charge. When you drained the battery, did you drain it until it shut off and you had to boot it back up?

Yes. That's what I did and it seem to be acting much better now.
We'll see in the next few days.

It is good to condition the battery every so often. Mine seemed to look like it was draining quick after 4 months. I let it die then let it charge for 10-12 hours. Then the battery went back to it's normal self.

The discharge - recharge seem to have done the trick. It's back to normal now.
