iPhone not ssh'ing not detected by itunes on mac.......

Well.... I feel like my phone is is some serious trouble right now.
For a few days my phone hasn't been able to ssh, but it could sync with itunes. Then i custom restored my iphone to official 3.1.2 firmware and jailbreaked with blackra1n unlocked with blacksn0w and installed Rock. Then i reinstalled OpenSSH and SSL and tried to SSH to my Mac. IT DIDN'T WORK :< I then synced from by backup from iTunes and left the computer for a few hours. When i returned i connected my iPhone to the mac again and guess what, it DIDN'T detect it. Well luckily i had a PC with Win 7 and the itunes detected it there. What i really want is an absolute solution. I don't care if i have to reinstall all my apps or even do an entire reinstall of firmware anymore just as long as i can jailbreak and unlock my iPhone and use SSH on either/both a PC and Mac.{and hopefully keep my contacts }

My devices:
iPhone 3g
fw: 3.1.2
baseband: 05.11.07

itunes: 9

PC: Windows 7

Mac: 10.5.6

What are you asking exactly?
Install openSSH, download Cyberduck for your mac.
Follow the first 8 steps of this guide:

Yes i did use cyber duck and OpenSSh was installed but no good. I was unable to access my iphone from both win 7(win scp) or mac(cyberduck)

Put your phone into DFU mode and restore. This time set the phone up as a NEW phone and DO NOT restore from a backup. JB and unlock again and then sync all of your information back onto your phone WITHOUT loading your backup file. This should fish any issues.

This may seem Silly but open SBSettings and check to see if SSH is enabled.

If it's enabled, make sure your phone is connected to the same wifi as your computer is connected to and make sure your typing in the correct IP adress in WinSCP or whatever else your using. It should be 192.168.1.x

Same with username and password, if you didn't make any changes it should be Root(username) and alpine(password)

If that still doesn't work Google "SSH iPhone without WiFi" and look at those tutorials and see if it works if it's connected via USB instead of wirelessly.

If none of the above works then unfortunantly you're going to have to go with Melech. ): Sorry

Thanks for the replies people, but will setting up a new phone still allow me to keep all of my contacts?
Well........even if it didn't i guess i have no choice.
And yes i used the USB tutorials for SSH and i guess i ought to install SBsettings.
