Iphone as WiFi Card

I know it's been asked and answered many times over whether or not the iPhone can be used as a tethered wireless card over the 3G network.

However, after scouring the forums I haven't been able to glean whether or not it can be used as a WiFi card using a wireless connection that it is connected to.

I've been reluctant to purchase PDANET for $30 just to find out that it won't work out that way, so I finally gave up anonymity to ask you guys if you knew...

tether
pdanet
and mywi
or
modem

I have very limited experience with the others that you mentioned. I used PDAnet's free 2 week trial with the 3g.

Out of that entire list, would you be able to recommend one over another?

mywi is probably the best. u can make a wireless network out of it
but u need to pay
u have to pay for all of thembut theirs a trail
