Switch or Stay?

I have t-mobile right and thinking about switching to AT&T and get an iPhone? I still have a year and half left on my contract so I would have to pay $100 so cancel it...but should I wait until this summer and see if a new iphone comes out or just go ahead and switch now?

but i want 3g...i would be better off getting a nexus one instead of getting a iphone for t-mo...which i might do istead since the network is faster
