Forgot restriction passcode??
My son, was restricted from the internet, so I put a restriction passcode blocking safari, youtube, etc. He could still make calls and text, etc. Anyway, his grades were sub par for so long, I forgot the restriction passcode.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have already restored it and it didn't work, I am now on 9 failed attempts and it takes an hour to try again. He now has good grades and I want to reward him for his hard work and dip sH1t me for the passcode.
It is jailbroken with PWNED with 3.1.2. and is a 2G.
Any help would be appreciated. I only have four post and all of them are asking for help, I am pretty new at this Iphone stuff, so the more I learn the more I can help. AKA...newbie.

Believe it or not, that's how I restored the phone (DFU). I couldn't believe that it was still locked.
Alright I figured it out. When I restored it, it did get rid of the forgotten code, my mistake was restoring it using the last back up which re-loaded the forgotten passcode.
Thanks.
Oops I didn't realize this was in the wrong thread. Sorry.Last edited by saltpeter; 01-09-2010 at 01:28 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

You can just delete the file /private/var/Keychains/keychain-2.db. But don't tell your son this =]

Yea, restoring from backup will put all info and codes back in. You have to do new device. He is talking about SSH in and deleting that one file gets rid of all passwords on the phone; wifi, email, lock, etc.

Thanks for the reply, I actually just learned how to SSH a few days ago. I guess you have to start somewhere.

I tried deleting this file:
/private/var/Keychains/keychain-2.db
that didn't work, only reset my email passwords. Then found another thread suggesting to delete this file:
/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist
I deleted both, rebooted and that did the trick. Not sure if plist alone would've done it for me or not, didn't try that.
I'm on ios 4.01
