Default Change iPhone IMEI (For Good Reasons... Phone not stolen) 3G/s FW 3.1.2

Is it possible to change the iPhone IMEI number for a short period of time? I will be working in turkey for about a year, however they lock all iPhone IMEIs after about a month and I don't wont to be with out it so i must find a way to change my IMEI. I have 2 options. I have my old iPhone 3G and my New iPhone 3Gs i am looking for a solution to get it working with new IMEI.... i have a valid one for turkeys network and just need to figure out how to change it. Does anyone know? I want to keep 3.1.2

There is no way to change the IMEI on any iPhone except an iPhone 2G running firmware 1.1.4 or lower.

geohot won't do it. It's not that it's impossible, the devs that can do it, are against doing so

i live in turkey and i can confirm imei will locked however you only need to goto a turkcell or voda, avea store get PAYG sim and register iphone on your foriegn passport that has valid 3 month visa stamp. they will not block or lock the phone if you are using a foriegn sim on roaming.

However long term if you become a resident or stay longer than 3 months you have to register but beware if you decided to sell it here or give to a friend it will not work on any other sim other than what you registered with . software like blackra1n or other solutions only unlock the carrier they wont or dont modify imei so even long term in future the iphone or in fact any overseas iphone bought outside turkey can not be passed on or sold on in turkey . it is not turkcell or any other networks doing it is central controlled from Ankara for all networks here .
