Default Watching cable channels live anywhere with my iPhone 3gs

Recently I bought the eyetv hybrid, a very small device which plugs into my Macbook Pro via USB and allows me to watch every cable channel from home, live, on my laptop, which also come in very clear on the iPhone via wifi.

Now recently a program was developed by the makers of eyetv called live3g, which allows you to go to a safari webpage and view the same channels via 3G, or if you are in a wifi hotspot AWAY FROM YOUR HOME. I don't know much about going into routers and making adjustments in port forwarding and such, but so far I managed to be able to watch TV from different WiFi hotspots away from home. I haven't figured out the way to do it by 3G yet though. Just thought I would mention it, as it seems to be developing and hopefully the developers wlll improve the product. I suppose some can do it with 3g easily but others have to make adjustments to their routers, something I am not to familiar with at this time, but I will try to keep everyone posted on my progress. The ability to now be able to watch the 137 cable channels from any wifi hotspot away from home though is cool and I don't regret buying the product. Hoping to get 3g to work soon.

The eyeTV hybrid is sold at the brick and mortar Apple Store by the way, $149 US. But who knows how long it will be available. I don't think AT&T will be too happy with people watching all of their home cable channels via 3g on their iPhones for very long.

Plug eyetv into that little search box up there and read about this from about the middle of last year when they did the eyetv update. Also how to get it on 3g. It's good stuff, but a bit of old news.

Couldn't find it in the search. Not sure why. Anyway the new Live3g function works like a charm. I can go anywhere and watch any cable channel I have away from my home without a wifi hotspot on my iPhone 3GS using 3g.
