Default My iphone cannot find wifi networks !

I am using an unlocked iphone 3g 3.1 for few days. One day for some reason i switched my iphone to "airplane mode". now Even if my airplane mode is off , my phone cannot detect my wifi network. I have tried it with other wifi networks but , it just does not detect any network. I am really worried . Please help ?????

Same with mine..that is hardware failure. You must bring back to shop where you bought and sweep with new one like mine.

To proof that it a hardware malfunction :
Turn off iphone, Wrap iphone with plastic then put in freezer about 5 minutes after that you can see WiFi will appear for about 1 minutes

what the hell? put your phone in the freezer for 5 minutes? lol, i'm pretty sure if you run the phone under a steady flow of water it will reactivate the wifi as well. hahaha i'm just messin with you.

But yeah for a real hardware test, do a clean restore up to 3.1.2, if you have wifi your good.

If you don't have a official carrier sim to activate the phone, downgrade to 3.0 and use redsn0w to hactivate and see if your wifi is working.
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!

just on a hunch, but try this:
Hard reboot iPhone (press and hold the home key and power key together until screen goes blank and the boot screen is displayed then release)
    Enable Airplane mode
Enable wifi airplane mode will turn off and note that wifi still might not enable)
Press the home key and return to the settings menu
    Enable Airplane mode
    Disable Airplane mode
    Enable wifi

Another thing you could try would be:
    turn off wifi
    turn on airplane mode
    turn off iphone
    turn on iphone
    turn off airplane mode
    turn on wifi

Play around a bit with stuff like this before resorting to restoring.

If I've helped you, you can help me by clicking on that Thanks button.
