Think i bricked my Phone :( need help quick

I was trying to make a call when ****** AT&T stopped doing there job and i got another call failed. I had no service for 5 mins so i switched airplane on then it froze for 10 min. i held the home button and sleep/wake to reset it then it started. it stays on the apple logo then the twirly loading wheel overlaps the apple logo and does nothing. The twirly thing rotates very slow if that means anything.

So i havent backed up in a while so i didnt want to use recovery mode, am i ****** or is there still hope?

This is referred to as the spinning wheel of death. I would try another hard reset.. also plug it into the computer. If you can't get it to boot you'll have to restore.

does the wheel usually overlap the apple logo ive been using them for over two years never got this
