Default Lock screen will not auto sleep

Home screen works fine, first dim then sleep. However, when on lock screen it will not go to sleep on it's own (requires me to push button). The problem causes the phone to stay on whenever I get a call or SMS or any action that wakes it up. Unless I'm there to put it to sleep, the lock screen stays on all night. I have tried re-sets un-installing and reinstalling several apps but no effect. I'm running 3.1 firmware and have not had any problems until just recently. The problem started when I was trying-out lockinfo, intelliscreen, and winterboard but removing those apps and resetting has no effect. Any ideas?

    Default Same Story

I had the exact same problem last night, but I had LockInfo installed on my device and then turned it off because I installed a new theme. Now my screen won't sleep unless I force it to by pressing the power button. Any one have any ideas as to how to fix this so me and ^^The guy above^^ can sleep peacefully tonight (without our screens waking us up). Much obliged.

I did a complete restore last night 3.1.2 and now my iphone 3GS will not go into sleep mode from the lock screen. Tried removing anything related to the lockscreen but it still won't work. Any ideas. Not really looking forward to another restore. Could it be the Custome ispw I used? I've also had 2 cydia crashes that resulted in restores since Oct using the same ispw.

Go into Settings-->General-->Reset--> and Reset All Settings.
All your preferences are reset, but you can find a backup in /var/mobile/Documents/Backup/OldPreferences in case you need some of them.
Worked for me when my iPhone didn't go to sleep anymore.
