I just transitioned from the world of Microsoft Windows Mobile and well i have to say this Iphone is pretty cool albiet locked down tighter then scrooge's bank account!

if I can get somee questions/guidance please it would be appreciated.

1. phone keypad - on a windows mobile or blackberry as you start typing numbers on the keypad it shows you a filtered list of numbers from your contacts. so if I press numbers 46632 that would find the "Honda" dealership number in my address book and I could then select it. I can't seem to get/find this feature on the Iphone.

2. Jailbreak - Blackra1n vs. RedRain? or RedSnow?
I played with blackra1n and found if the phone is powered off and restarted you have to RESTORE your phone. also not sure what the diff is between Black, Red and snow. I think snow is to network unlock right?

3. Text Messages - in Windows Mobile I have access to SENT, DELETED, and INBOX if I delete a thread of messages in my iphone is it truly gone or is there a secret way to get to the trash can/deleted messages?
