Erase and Sync

Does erase and sync remove app settings and placement. In specific if I have two computers with the same transferred purchases, if I sync with the machine that isnt the original machine it asks to erase and sync, but it will just erase the apps and replace it with the same apps... so does this mean I keep my settings?

this is just a quick answer in case you're in a hurry. it might not be true though, its just according to what i've heard:

I think as long as you have the same itunes account, it will sync it as if its on your first machine.

if it says to erase and sync though, i think it will sync the apps but none of your savegames/records/info will be there.
