Default i have about 7 gigs of music that shows up as "other" after sync

    Okay, long story short...

I was using another program other then iTunes to sync my iPhone with some music (sharepod in case anyone is interested).

The music transferred as it should have, however something odd happened in the process and has caused all of the music in the /User/Media/iTunes_Control/Music folders to come up as "Other" in iTunes. Ergo: Not showing up at all under iTunes (which it should), or showing up in the iPod app at all. Also, it's not showing up in the program that I used either...

My first thought was to manually remove each and every single .mp3 file. Of course that would be a lot of work (figure about 7 gigs of Frank Zappa). My second thought was to just copy/paste the entire /Music folder over to my desktop and then mass delete all of the .mp3's from the file structure /F0-F48 and then copy/paste the newly emptied directories back into my iPhone via SSH or iPhone Browser.

The reason I was thinking of doing the later was to retain the Directory Tree. However I was wondering if I could just delete the contents of /Music/F0-F48 and then on next sync iTunes would just rewrite the Directory.

As always thanks in advance for the guidance :-)

    Anyone, anyone?
