Need easy contacts manager

Anybody know of an easy way to manage contacts? I hate Outlook. Can I somehow two-way sync with Gmail and manage them there?
Or better yet is there an app that will let me delete contacts easier than editing, scrolling to get to the delete button? Yes, I have a lot I'd like to delete.
