Sub Icons Below Main Icons

What are these? At first glance I thought maybe voicemail but I've checked that and there's no new messages.

The sub icons have also appeared occasionally under messaging and errrrm another one I can't remeber lol

Interesting. Sure its not some sort of theme? And it does say "one" right? Its a little fuzzy.

If you are running a theme it might be like a signature?

only theme I'm running is a personalised one wot I created myself the info.plist for which reads

If I open & close the app for the main icon the sub icon vanishes again for a while.

Yup in this case it says one next to what look like a couple of running men, as I mentioned its almost like a 'badge' telling me I have VM/Missed calls but it isn't is it???
