wont boot!! help please

tonite my phone was fine. then all of sudden my signal went out and no service. after about half an hour or so, still no service. so i turned off the phone normally. but i start it up again, its stuck on the apple screen. now about two hours passed, and tried everything, i even held down the lock and home button. but now its stuck and after a while it shuts down and tries to re-boot itself. but still gets stuck at the apple screen. and it keeps doing it over and over until battery low. i tried plugging into my pc,wall, and car charger but its still does same thing. help me please!!!!!!!

oh i tried removing the sim too.
and it is jailbroken and has ben like that for a month with no problems

I think I just had this problem last night. I just installed something from Cydia that required a reboot, and when it tried to reboot it got stuck in this loop that it would just show the silver apple for a min or so then turn off.

To fix it, I held the power button until it came on and tried to boot, then I held the home and power button until it shut off, waited ~4sec, then released the power button while I kept the home button pressed. This was all done while it was plugged into my computer. This sent my phone into DFU mode, where I restored it like normal. Now its fine; I'm not sure what happened, but restoring from DFU mode is the only thing I could get to work.

you Maybe stuck in a boot loop try googleing for ireb download it and run it cured my problem which was the same..

ok then try dfu restore as a new phone making sure it goes into dfu mode first itunes will detect it and confirm this..
