    Thumbs down Iphone Charging Issue

    Its an Iphone 3GS 16gb 3.1.2 Hacktivated & Jailbroken with blackra1n.

I didnt charge my Iphone last night and as i made my way into work this morning it probably only had about 10% left. So i turned it off my holding the power button and then hitting the button to power off to save any battery on my way to work.

When i get into work i have a charging cable via USB and have used this many times in here even yesterday and i didnt have any problems. When i plugged it in i noticed the battery icon on screen with the small sliver of power in the red. It had the Thunderbolt Icon & The Plug Icon -> Thunderbolt Icon as seen below.

For a while then it appeared like it was trying to start up. I would see the apple logo screen for a few moments then nothing. It has continued to do this for a while now. I tried to reset it and plug it in again and still nothing. For the better part of 45 minutes it was stuck on this screen and the bar has not been moving at all. Its started this cycle again of trying ot boot up and being stuck on the apple logo screen.

All i did was turn it off and turn it back on with the cable in.

    Any advice is appreacited please

USB doesn't give enough power to kick start the charging process when the battery goes flat.
Try plugging in to a proper mains charger and you should be OK.

Ok didnt know that at all,

    Thanks alot hopefully that works!

So looks like you should never let your Iphone battery die if you have used Blackra1n. Its not something i knew about probably dumb of me it was only after a full restore that i realised it.

Apparently if you want to get it back running you have to do so with blackra1n but im not sure so just letting you all know.

Quoted from a guide that Geohot reccomended to everyone

"For those with a new iPhone 3GS (updated Bootrom), BlackRa1n only supports a tethered jailbreak. This means that once jailbroken you should not let your battery die. If it does die you will need to reconnect it to the computer and use BlackRa1n to boot it."
