sync question using itunes
when i sync with itunes can i skip syncing the apps to speed things up without erasing apps from iphone?

Yes, it just won't put any more apps on the iPhone that aren't there already.

if i click off the sync box on itunes it gives a message that all apps will be removed from iphone. i just want to sync music and skip syncing everything including apps, but the message threatens to remove all apps from phone if not checked to sync with everything else.

Leave it alone! iTunes will only sync changes between your iPhone and the computer. Furthermore, if you have already synced your apps with your iTunes, then these apps will not sync again. The whole definition of "Syncing" is to keep items in sync, or synchronized. So changing something on your phone will cause iTunes to change and so forth...
