    Default Update fail, downloaded new Firm. and install went wrong. Do I lose all my info?

    Whats up everyone?

    I just downloaded and updated my iphone 3g from 3.01 to the new one. I was Jail broken but I wanted to go back unjail break with a fresh copy of the latest firmware. Anyhow, It ended up failing somehow I assume I do not have the latest itunes. Anyhow.. I did not back up. Can I just install the new firmware or am I royally screwed?

    hold the home button after u power on the phone and restore and update in itunes
