What's are these lines on my screen?!
So I have these lines on the top right corner of my 2G screen. They just appeared yesterday. I tried to take a screenshot of them to post it on here but when I opened the screenshots, the lines were gone.
Could they of appeared because I dropped my phone? Or is it just dead pixels? Also, can I get rid of them? If so, how?
I tried to do my best to illustrate what the lines look like on MS Paint, so here it is.

I was gonna say it could be hairline cracks in the glass, but with what you're saying, it seems to be the LCD, dead pixels.
Are the lines still there? Do they fluctuate, sometimes there sometimes not?
Might be time for a replacement, or an upgrade if you so desire. Or stick it out until summer and get the 4th gen....

Yea the fact that they didn't show up on the screenshot means its hardware, and that looks like hairline cracks that expose themselves in bright light for example mail or SMS but they probably wouldn't show in something the springboard which is generally black. If it really bothers you replacing the screen will fix the problem and will run around 75$ for part and labor.

I can see those lines on the springboard too, they're always there.
You guys really think it's the screen that needs to be replaced? I've heard the price for a new screen is $50 and theres a DIY for replacing it somewhere..Jailbroken 2G iPhone 3.0 OS on T-Mobile -sold

I stick to the hairline cracks, those are very definitive lines for dead pixels. Plus onpening a iPhone is slightly harder than a computer, I wouldnt suggest it unless you are Apple Certified or you really know what you are doing, plus its a minor annoyance is it really worth 50 bucks to fix?
