i had it but the mail settings werent in it either so i uninstalled it to see if that was causein the problem an it was still missing... reinstalled it to see if it would help but it didnt.. so its now uninstalled again.
thanks Poseidon79.. unhide it and the settings came back.. thats odd tho.. ive been hiding mail.app since i can remember and the settings were always there..is that a new feature or am i just mistaken?
the exact same thing happened to me. My password was updated on one of my email accounts so it was no longer receiving email on the iPhone. I went to settings to look for the mail option and it was missing. Through a variety of different forums I discovered that the problem was happening within my Winterboard. I went into the the Winterboard app, scrolled down and found "Extended Preferences" which was checked. I simply unchecked that option. when I returned to settings, everything was back, my mail, calendar, messages, etc. Wuite simple. Extended preferences must have been checked when I downloaded a recent App update or something.
i have the same problem only worse: several of my settings entries are missing(mail, messages, contacts, etc). To be honest maybe more are missing and i don't know. Tried every solution i could find on the forum and nothing helped. I'm on a iphone 3g 3.1.2 jailbreak via a pawned ipsw.PLEASE HELP!!!
I disabled my extended preferences, the mail settings came back. After i adjusted the settings i needed, i just re-enabled extended preferences, it is under winter board.
