I have kind of a similar problem.

I have a 2g plan but I have a 3gs phone. I tried the 2g mms cydia downloads and manually changing, and .ipcc files but havent had any luck. Any suggestions?

have you tried just activating it as you would normally. maybe the 2g plan just has different carrier settings to enter.
In Setting>General>Network>Cellular Data Network under MMS I have

    apn: wap.cingular
    username: [blank]
    password: [blank]
    MMSC:mmsc.cingular.com
    MMS proxy: 66.209.11.32
