Returning iPhones under warranty

I buy a lot of iPhones from other people. I'm curious if anyone knows how Apple feels about or if there is a limit on how many phones one person can have replaced as long as the phones are still under warranty and nothing has voided it (water damage, dropping, etc.). Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's the device that's covered under warranty not the owner. So in theory, I should still be able to have a warranty issue taken care of now that I own the phone.
