    Default on Cydia question

    When cydia loads, ontop of where it says Welcom to Cydia. There is a message/sentence.

    "This device has a 3.1 ECID SHSH on file"

    What does this mean

    You have your ecid on file....

    apple doesn't allow downgrading of the 3gs... the way they govern that is by custom ecid files, per device. With your ecid file on cydia's servers, if you upgrade to say 3.2 but it messes something up with the jailbreak, with the ecid on file, you can easily downgrade back to 3.1...
