Weird copy and paste problem with pictures and email. help please

So, I usually just copy a picture from the photo app and then paste it into my email. However now when I try doing this instead of the picture going into the email it just pastes the filename.
for instance I choose a picture of my cat but when I paste I get

also, I try forwarding a picture and the picture is in my email body now but my girlfriend's blackberry couldn't open it. That's never happened to me before. Then she replied to that email and instead of me seeing the picture I see a blue box with a white question mark in it. If i touch that it asks if I want to save the image. I do and it's literally the image of the blue box with ? that gets saved.

Not sure if there is a known issue. Not sure if maybe an app could be conflicting. Last time I sent a pic was 1 month ago. So not sure which app could be conflicting since I have a lot of jailbroken and appstore apps.

any help would be appreciated thanks.

(and I've respringed, sync'd with itunes and rebooted the phone already to no avail)
tried uninstalling then tried reinstalling action menu nothing.

?? no I don't think you get it.

Pictures i've taken with the phone. I copy it in the photos app. Then in the email app I press paste. Instead of seeing a picture I see a filename (example: img_0155.jpg instead of a picture)

You do realize tho that all you have to do is tap the button in the bottom left corner of your photo app:


select the picture(s) you want, and then click share:


And now select where you would like to share them

no no not that.
Usually you can copy the photo (same way you did it but pressing copy) and then paste it into the mail app. Copy/paste doesn't compress the picture.
However, now when I copy/paste it into the mail app it doesn't paste the image but the file name of the image.

Now that's what I'm asking about. The copy/paste. It worked with 3.0. Is it blocked in 3.1.2?


(I know my title says newb but that's because I hardly post here, I usually post at HF. I do know how to use my phone)

ALso, I sent it through email that exact way and by pressing the picture to view it full screen and the bottom right corner button then pressing email. Both times to my girlfriend's blackberry curve it says unrecognized format. She has a work phone that hasn't been changed in over a year and never had a problem.
My iphone however gets fun new apps and jailbroken apps often.

When she replies to that email where the pic should be I don't see the pic either (I should if I sent it). Instead I get a blue box with a white ?. I press it and it asks save image, copy or cancel. I save image and it goes into my camera roll but it's not the image I sent it's the image of the blue box and white ?

weird, I know.

AND I sent it in an email (as you said) to myself. And I get a blue box with a ? not the image! So I can't even send to myself!

hahaha yep was hoping to avoid that. Oh well after this holiday I'll get around to it. Hopefully it doesn't happen again after that.
