    Default I've jailbroken, now what?

I have just jailbroken my iPhone 3G using Pwnage tool. and i want to add some new apps and change the themes and stuff... but i have no idea where to go to do that, how to search for apps, or even what to do once i find an app that i want to add... any help would be awesome.

ah crap. to tell you the truth, i'm a complete n00b at this, all i did was do what pwnage tool told me to do... i know i have to load cydia, but i trued jailbreaking with redsn0w before and that loaded cydia, so i just assumed that pwnage put it on as well, my bad. do i have to load it before i can put anything else on my phone?

Open up Cydia, let it "refresh sources," then tap on Sections at the bottom. There will be specific folders for all different categories of applications and extensions you can install. Or, use Search. (Cydia is mostly popular for its "extensions," not applications. An extension is like a background process; or, if you are familiar with the term, a "plug-in" to the iPhone interface.)

Winterboard - lets you apply themes
SBSettings - extension that allows you to swipe your finger horizontally across the top status bar to bring up quick toggles for wifi, phone, bluetooth, and other processes to save battery
biteSMS/iRealSMS/etc. - these SMS clients add a LOT of new features to the regular method of texting. you'll have to sift through them yourself to find the best one for you but some features include: classic inbox texting, smileys, quick reply (send a response text without switching apps), and other features
qTweeter - post a Facebook/Twitter status by simply pulling your finger down vertically from the status bar and typing away

Some of these are free, some are not. If you are confused by this a little bit, search some of the names I mentioned on YouTube. You'll likely find example videos sampling what each of these applications and extensions do. If you have any questions, or would like more advice on what are some killer apps you're curious about, always feel free to send me a PM.

And then do a search for the TRON themes on Cydia. I hear they're pretty awesome
