SBsettings/Processes and Mail question
When I open SB settings and Processes, phone and mail are always running. Should mail always be running in the background? Thanks.

yes, it is always running because push/fetch is enabled for mail by default.

Yepper... Thats what I thought. I went into mail settings are turned it all to manual and turned off push/fetch, but it is still comes up. No biggie, just thought it was kinda odd.

it's completly normal, even with no fetch/push active. if you have those stuff set to off, the mail app doesn't actually do anything, but it's still supposed to be there

Everytime I launch a game my iPod process stays running so I have made it a habit to use Processes to kill it.

Can anyone tell me if there is a toggle for mail like in BossPrefs was? I've searched around the forums and on google and nothing came up. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

I think if you had push enabled before you upgraded to 3.0(or 3.1.2) then it is stuck on. A full restore might fix this.

If you have mail set to manual, you can kill it and it will stay off until something opens it. Running the contacts app or tapping the contacts list in the phone app opens mail, at least for me. I sync contacts with gmail so maybe that's why but I think it's normal.

I have it set to manual and it still does it, but i just ignore it because it doesnt take too much memory.
If i helped, don't be afraid to hit the thanks button. It won't bite!!!!
